Thank you for visiting my website. The"dw" in dwcounseling stands for David Wines. I have been providing psychotherapy for various mental health and addictive disorders for almost 20 years. In addition to providing office-based counseling in the Plymouth-Canton area of southeast Michigan, I now offer certain "non-office" counseling services using e-mail, telephone, and audio/video chat.
 
With the internet, the world is at your fingertips. It is no longer necessary to go to an office for counseling services if you are comfortable with non-office services. Considering the cost of gas these days (not to mention health care), online counseling may offer significant savings over office-based counseling. Overview of Services

I provide psychotherapy for adults and adolescents with mental health problems, including anxiety, depression, stress reactions, relationship and intimacy issues, sex and romance addictions, substance abuse, family conflicts and codependency. I see individuals, couples and families. If you live in the Plymouth-Canton area of southeast Michigan, I accept many insurance plans through Advanced Counseling Services (Canton) and KaraLee & Associates (Plymouth). I am also developing a forum to address common questions about various aspects of counseling and mental health. If you have a question or comment about a particular mental health or counseling issue, you are welcome to e-mail me and I will consider it for commentary on the website. To protect confidentiality of personal communications, your personal identifying information will not be shared on the website (or with anyone else) unless you specifically request it in writing. However, you must provide a valid e-mail address to help prevent fraudulent, spamming or junk e-mails from being sent.
